THE COLOR PURPLE COMPANY

THE COLOR PURPLE features an incredibly talented cast, some performing at Broadway At Music Circus for the first time.  Playing Celie in her Broadway At Music Circus debut is Angela Wildflower, who made her Broadway debut as Mary Wells in MOTOWN: THE MUSICAL, and has performed onstage at a number of regional theatre companies and onscreen in a variety of films and TV shows.  Ken Robinson, playing Mister, performed on Broadway in the 2016 Revival of THE COLOR PURPLE, as well as SUMMER: THE DONNA SUMMER MUSICAL, MEMPHIS and BABY IT’S YOU, and in regional theatre productions throughout the country.  Shug Avery is played by Christina Acosta Robinson, last at Broadway At Music Circus playing Glinda in the 2019 production of THE WIZ, who performed on Broadway in SUMMER: THE DONNA SUMMER MUSICAL and at a number of regional theatres.

Playing Sofia is Amma Osei, whose Broadway and National Touring credits include ROCK OF AGES, PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL, DREAMGIRLS and FAME, and who has performed a variety of roles in regional theatre productions.  Harpo is played by Matthew Frederick Harris in his Broadway At Music Circus debut, who performed in both the off-Broadway and Broadway productions of the Tony-winning GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY.  Erica Durham, playing Nettie in her Broadway At Music Circus debut, performed in the First National Tour of THE COLOR PURPLE and at a number of regional theatres.  Also making her Broadway At Music Circus debut in the role of Squeak is Domonique Paton, who performed on Broadway in WICKED, in the National Tours of LES MISÉRABLES and HAIRSPRAY and in regional theatre productions throughout the country.

The cast of THE COLOR PURPLE also includes Kris Coleman, Tarra Conner Jones, Brandi Chavonne Massey, Abiola Obatolu, Wonu Ogunfowora, Dana Orange, Alfie Parker, Jr., Erick Pinnick, Adam Rogers and Omari Tau.
