SAFETY REQUIREMENTS – UPDATED SEPTEMBER 10, 2021
In accordance with the State of California’s mandate for indoor events with 1,000+ attendees, Broadway Sacramento has implemented the following requirements for patrons attending its events, effective immediately and in place until further notice.
These requirements apply to all Broadway On Tour events (at the SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center), all Broadway At Music Circus events, and any other events or activities presented by Broadway Sacramento, regardless of the number or age of attendees.
Please note that some of the requirements have been updated based on information available at this time, and will continue to be updated as necessary.
COVID VACCINE OR NEGATIVE TEST REQUIRED
Before entering the theatre, all ticketholders, regardless of age, are required to show proof of full COVID vaccination, with the final dose at least 14 days prior to performance time, or of a negative result from a COVID test, taken within 72 hours of performance time.
PROOF OF VACCINE
“Fully vaccinated” means that your performance is at least 14 days after your final vaccine dose. Proof of vaccination can be a physical vaccination card, a photo on your phone of your vaccination card, or a digital vaccination record. California residents may request a digital vaccination record at MyVaccineRecord.cdph.ca.gov.
PROOF OF NEGATIVE COVID TEST
PCR or rapid antigen test results will be accepted, as long as the test is taken within 72 hours of your performance time. Negative test result documentation must be in writing and from a medical professional or laboratory. A photo of your negative result documentation will also be accepted.
Negative results from a home test that are accessed through a CDC-approved mobile app will also be accepted, as long as the name on the results documentation matches the name on your photo ID. Following is info on two tests that can be used with apps that meet the documentation requirement for matching a name with a photo ID:
- BinaxNOW Home Test through the eMed digital health platform, with the ability to digitally show test results through a complementary NAVICA app (for Apple IOS and Android): Our Contributions to the COVID-19 Response | Abbott U.S.
Home test results that are not from that type of CDC-approved mobile app will not be accepted.
A driver’s license or other photo ID will also be required for entry for all adults. A photo ID will not be required for minors who are accompanied by an adult. Minors will need to present proof of full vaccination or a negative test result, as previously outlined.
All patrons, regardless of age and vaccination status, are required to wear masks inside the theatre at all times (except when consuming food or beverage in the lobby or auditorium). Prolonged periods of mask removal are not permitted for eating or drinking—masks must be worn between bites and sips. Acceptable masks are surgical/paper, cloth, or (K) N95. Gaiters, bandanas, face shields or masks with an exhalation valve will not be acceptable.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your performance to allow the venue staff to check proof of vaccination or negative test result and assist in seating you before curtain time.
