2026 Season Content Guide

We offer brief assessments of show content to help patrons decide whether a show is appropriate for themselves and those they bring to the theatre. But since the assessments and content evaluation criteria are subjective, we encourage patrons to do their own research on shows they are interested in attending if they are in doubt about the content.

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR

The rock opera retelling of the last days of Jesus, inspired by the gospels, includes elements which some younger children may find difficult to comprehend.

Disney’s FROZEN

Disney on Broadway performances are recommended for a general audience. As an advisory to adults who might bring young people, Disney recommends its productions for ages 6 and up.  No one under 4 (including infants) is admitted to any Broadway At Music Circus show.

YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN

This Mel Brooks musical based on the 1974 film contains sexual innuendo that might not be appropriate for young children.

HAIRSPRAY

The bubbly musical comedy about the racial integration of a sock hop television show in 1962 Baltimore includes some adult content. A lighter take on some serious themes, the show handles the topics of racism and prejudice in a sensitive manner. Younger children may find some of the content and themes difficult to comprehend.

COME FROM AWAY

This uplifting musical is based on the true story of 38 planes diverted to a small town in Newfoundland immediately following the events of 9/11. Contains adult language, discussion of race, religion, sexual orientation, and includes mild sexual content. While it takes place in the context of that horrific day, the inspiring plot focuses on the bonds that form among the characters.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL

The story includes ghostly visits and a few darker, suspenseful moments that may be a bit intense for very young children, but the uplifting message and festive atmosphere make it a memorable experience for families.
