Broadway At Music Circus Junior Company

THE BROADWAY AT MUSIC CIRCUS JUNIOR COMPANY is an opportunity for young musical theatre artists to train with professional directors, choreographers and actors to perform in a Broadway At Music Circus production. The number of spots available vary from show to show and audition requirements will adjust based on the needs of each production. 

Throughout the three-week rehearsal and performance process, experienced Teaching Artists provide additional coaching in character development and song interpretation, as well as theatre education workshops in resume building, warm-up techniques, and script analysis and score preparation.

What are we looking for when casting the Junior Company of a Broadway At Music Circus production?

Junior Company participants must demonstrate a strong vocal range, with particular emphasis on vocal clarity and accurate pitch. We seek young artists who are compelling storytellers, capable of communicating with authenticity, believability, and emotional connection. Because Broadway At Music performs in the 2,200-seat UC Davis Health Pavilion, Junior Company participants must also be confident and comfortable performing for large audiences. Junior Company applicants must be a local resident within 50 miles of the theater.

Broadway At Music Circus will be holding local children’s auditions for our Junior Company of A CHRISTMAS CAROL.

Singing auditions will be held:
 
Friday, October 9, 2026, 3pm – 7pm
or
Saturday, October 10, 2026, 9:00am – 1:00pm

by appointment only

Auditions will be held at the UC Davis Health Pavilion, 1419 H Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. For an audition appointment, use the signup portal on our website. Signups will open September 21, 2026, at 9:30am, and close end-of-day September 25, 2026.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL:
Rehearsal dates: Tuesday, November 24 – Thursday, December 10, 2026, Rehearsal times will vary each day.
Performance dates: Friday, December 11 – Sunday, December 20, 2026

• Other Cratchit children: Peter, Matthew, Lucy, Belinda, Martha

AUDITION DETAILS:

Everyone, regardless of age or gender, must audition with both Tiny Tim and Gracie Smyth sides. Sheet music and teaching tracks are provided. Please download and review the material before your audition. Memorization is not required. An accompanist will be provided.
