Acting the Song
Receive individualized coaching to strengthen your character specificity and vocal technique. Accompanist provided. Come prepared with a song of your choosing for each class. Songs should be memorized with sheet music in a binder. Class takes place in a group setting to promote observational learning and community support.
INSTRUCTOR | BRETT TERESA
Brett attended the University of California, Irvine where he studied musical theatre performance and directing. As a director he has worked both professionally and within the educational system at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (NYC), Stagedoor Manor, Inside Broadway, Wanderlust Theatre Company and Celebrity Cruises Productions. As an audition coach, Brett maintains an acting and vocal technique studio with clients appearing in such Broadway shows as Hamilton, Beetlejuice, Wicked, Les Misérables, Annie, Godspell, The Music Man, Anastasia, Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark, Hair and Evita.

Musical Theatre Dance
Refine dance skills and celebrate musical theatre storytelling through diverse choreography from the Broadway canon. Dress code includes dance or athletic attire and dance shoes (ballet, jazz, character) or sneakers.
LEVEL 1: Beginner/Intermediate: Building upon beginner skills, introducing more complex movement and combinations.
LEVEL 2: Intermediate/Advanced: Strong foundation with the ability to learn and perform challenging choreography.

Select Directing/Choreographing credits include Beauty and The Beast, Pippin, Cinderella (Upcoming) – Casa Mañana, The Secret Garden – Broadway At Music Circus, Mamma Mia! – North Carolina Theatre, Broadway Bares – NYC, Summertime – Transcendence Theatre Company, Traffic and Weather – Adirondack Theatre Festival (World Premiere). Television credits include Smash NBC, Limitless CBS. Print/Commercial: Macy’s, Subway, MTV, IBM, Verizon, Aetna, RED, and CNN. Monica serves as guest faculty at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway and holds a M.S. in Education from Northern IL University.

Broadway At Music Circus: Sugar, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins, La Cage aux Folles, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The SpongeBob Musical, Fiddler on the Roof, Sunset Boulevard. Regional: La Mirada Theatre, Pittsburgh CLO, TUTS. Brian graduated from California State University of Fullerton with a BFA in Musical Theatre. He has performed for the Disney Company for a total of 16 years including at Disneyland® Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Disney on Broadway and Disney on Tour.
INSTRUCTOR | KYLE COFFMAN
Kyle Coffman made his Broadway debut as an original cast member (‘A-rab’) of the 2009 revival of West Side Story, directed by Arthur Laurents. He originated the role of ‘Henry’ in Disney’s Newsies on Broadway and served as the model for the official logo. Kyle was an original cast member of the Broadway revival of The Mystery of Edwin Drood, starring Chita Rivera. In 2021 he played the role of ‘Ice’ in Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story.” He has been seen in various other plays, films, and regional musical theatre productions throughout his career, including multiple performances on the Tony awards.
