Camp Music Circus schedule & performance:

  • Counselor Training on Monday, May 18, 9:30 am-10:30 am (tentative)
  • Planning meeting(s) with teaching artists TBA
  • Camp Music Circus Orientation: TBA
  • Camp Music Circus: Monday-Friday, July 6 – 16, 8:15 am-5: 45 pm daily
  • Final rehearsal and performance: Friday, July 17, 8:15 am – 7:00 pm 

Reports To: Director of Education

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist staff in providing a safe, fun and positive environment for Camp Music Circus
  • Supervise participants throughout the day, including during breaks
  • Assist teaching artists during classes and rehearsals and other duties as assigned
  • Facilitate theatre games and group activities
  • Actively participate in class activities to encourage camper participation
  • Assist backstage during the Camp Music Circus production

Qualifications:

  • Experience and enjoyment working with children ages 9-12
  • A knowledge of theatre games and performance techniques
  • Training/experience in acting, voice and/or dance
  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative attitude
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to both take and give direction  
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred but not required
