DENNIS CASTELLANO (Music Director/Conductor) first arrived at Music Circus in 1981 and now looks forward every year to his summer in Sacramento. His favorite past productions “under the tent” include The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hair, La Cage aux Folles, Mary Poppins, Show Boat, The Producers, Funny Girl, Ragtime and Sweeney Todd. Recent credits include The Light in the Piazza; A Little Night Music; Sunday in the Park With George; The Fantasticks; the West Coast premieres of Ordinary Days and Cloudlands at South Coast Repertory; Dreamgirls; Seven Brides for Seven Brothers; My Fair Lady and Annie Get Your Gun for McCoy/Rigby Entertainment; Carousel, Hairspray, Cats and Thoroughly Modern Millie at Musical Theatre West along with shows at Music Theatre of Wichita, Musical Theatre Guild and the Laguna Playhouse. Dennis heads the musical theatre program at UC Irvine and is very proud of his many students who are performing in New York and around the country.
