    THE PROGRAM

The Wells Fargo Teaching Through Musical Theatre Institute is a professional development course for classroom teachers, arts educators, curriculum specialists and others involved in K-12 education.  The one-of-a-kind 40-hour program trains educators to apply the California Visual and Performing Arts Content Standards while incorporating musical theatre as an instruction tool in existing curricula, linking theatre arts with language, mathematics, social studies and other general fields of study.  Teachers gain enrichment by attending a Music Circus performance and rehearsal and by interacting with guest artists including directors, choreographers and musical directors.  Continuing education credit is available through CSUS.
